With the current upheaval at Anfield, clubs across Europe are licking their lips at the prospect of getting their hands on some of the club's most prized assets.
With coach Rafael Benitez almost certain to leave in the near future, a mass exit is not beyond the realms of possibility.
Inter were thwarted in their bid to sign current England coach Fabio Capello as replacement for Jose Mourinho and Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Benitez is next on their list.
The paper also reports that the Italians are looking to sign Torres, Gerrard and mifielder Javier Mascherano.
Torres in particular could be a realistic possibility given his closeness to Benitez. It was Rafa who convinced the striker to move to Liverpool from Atletico Madrid three seasons ago and it is expected that Torres will follow his manager.
Gerrard however is a different story. He reportedly does not see eye to eye with Benitez and in fact, some media outlets have speculated that the rift between the two is the reason for Benitez's impending exit.
In addition, Real Madrid are reported to be interested in the inspirational skipper as well. If that is true, Inter would be probably not want to enter into a bidding war with the Spanish giants.
Benitez is also keen on bringing Javier Mascherano with him to Inter Milan. The Argentinean has repeatedly claimed he is happy at Anfield but new contract talks with the club have not been fruitful.
Both Chelsea and Barcelona are also thought to be interested in the midfielder.
