"On Thursday night, during the Europa League game against Trabzonspor, the board of Liverpool informed me officially that they have received a fax from Inter," said Kuyt.
"You can call this a luxury situation for me."
Inter's latest interest in Kuyt comes as a contradiction to Roy Hodgson's claims that he has been given assurances by Inter president Massimo Moratti that he would not bid for any Liverpool player.
Moratti was quoted in the Daily Mirror: "Mascherano? We won't make a move for him. But Kuyt? We will have to wait and see."
Kuyt is expected to decide this weekend if he would quit Liverpool and join Benitez at the San Siro.
