Kelly: Bring on the Baggies.

Martin Kelly admits the fantastic victory in Trabzonspor has boosted confidence amongst the Liverpool players ahead of Sunday's meeting with West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

The Reds bounced back to winning ways in Thursday's Europa League c
lash and the line-up again promises to be strengthened on Sunday with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres expected to return to the side.

And England U21 international Kelly is confident Roy Hodgson's side can get their first Barclays Premier League victory of the 2010-11 season against the newly-promoted Baggies.

"The main thing we want to do now is get three points on Sunday against West Bromwich Albion," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"I think we have definitely got the quality there. We have had a good pre-season, the players are looking forward to the game and want to show everyone that we can bounce back from that defeat."

Roberto Di Matteo's side won their first Barclays Premier League game of the season last weekend with a 1-0 triumph over Sunderland as they bounced back from their opening day 6-0 thumping at reigning champions Chelsea.

There have been suggestions that the Baggies will turn up at Anfield with a defensive approach, but Kelly doesn't see it that way.

"That could be one option but I don't think they will do that because if they do they could get thumped again if they try that," he added.

"Whatever they try to do we will be ready for them and we will try to win the game.

"I don't think you can take anything or any team for granted in the Barclays Premier League.

"They have come up because they are good enough to play in this league and any team in the Premier League are going to be hard to deal with.

"We've got to try our hardest, work as a team and get a good result.

"We prepare for the game the same as we've always done which is to try our best and work as a team.

"The training has been good and there's no doubt that this will show on the pitch on Sunday."

Kelly has been a regular member of Hodgson's squad this season and hopes to keep on impressing and stake a claim for a regular place in the team.

He added: "I'm enjoying it but you can't take too much for granted.

"I've still got to work hard. I wasn't in the squad for the City game and you've just got to keep working hard and hope your chance will come around and when it does you've got to take it."

Kelly showed his versatility by enjoying another outing at left-back during the win in Trabzon, and he admits it's a position he doesn't mind playing for the good of the team.

He said: "It wasn't that much different to playing right-back to be honest as I'm comfortable on my left foot and it wasn't too difficult.

"I'm not sure what position I'll end up sticking too as when the opportunity comes you have to take it so I wouldn't mind playing anywhere for this team."
