Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has made an offer for Wigan Athletic midfielder Charles N’Zogbia and enquired about the availability of Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva according to BBC Stoke.
Pulis is also close to securing the signing of Monaco forward Eidur Gudjohnsen on a season-long loan with the Potters manager eager to bolster his squad ahead of the 6:00 PM deadline.
N’Zogbia was close to signing for Birmingham City in a reported £8 million before the weekend, however the Frenchman stalled on a deal demanding a £10 000 pay rise. While Leiva has admitted that he could leave the club although the Brazilian midfielder also intimated he was willing to fight for his place in the reds squad.
Potter’s manager Pulis has already re-signed former midfielder Salif Diao and is close to securing the capture of former Chelsea, Barcelona, and Tottenham Hotspur forward Eidur Gudjohnsen on a season-long loan deal.
