Napoli's Walter Gargano is out to ensure Liverpool's foundering continues when the two teams rumble in the Europa League.
The solidarity and solace of new ownership did nothing to offer hope for Liverpool on the pitch as they lost to Everton on Sunday.
And with another hostile crowd to face at the San Paolo - one of the most passionate grounds in Italy - Gargano knows Roy Hodgson's men are in for trouble.
"It will be a fantastic game. Liverpool are a great team, but we always do well against the big sides," he told Il Corriere della Sera.
"Teams like Milan, Inter and Juventus have always led us to play great games.
"Now we await Liverpool. I am convinced we will find goals and play well. We have great motivation to play them."
Meanwhile, reports in Italy suggest Napoli groundsmen face a race against time to restore order after the pitch and goals were attacked by vandals on Sunday.
Police believe the attack was provoked by a rise in ticket prices for the game.
