Glen Johnson scored a wonder goal & Carra returned to international football as England warmed up for WC with 3-1 win over Mexico.

Fabio Capello's men endured some nervy moments against their skilful opponents, but ultimately ran out comfortable winners in front of a packed home crowd.

Ledley King and Peter Crouch gave England a 2-0 lead before the Mexicans pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time - but their joy was short-lived as Johnson netted the goal of the game in
the opening minute after the break.

Collecting the ball on the right side of the field, the Liverpool defender drifted past a number of Mexican players before curling a stunning left footed shot beyond the reach of the goalkeeper and into the far corner of the net.

Johnson began the game as one of two Liverpool players in Capello's line-up, with Steven Gerrard also in the starting eleven.

Gerrard took over the skipper's armband when Anfield teammate Jamie Carragher replaced Rio Ferdinand at half time. It was Carragher's first appearance on the international stage for three years.
