A Uruguayan international to be offered in Mascherano deal.
Barcelona will offer Uruguayan Martin Caceres as well as Alexander Hleb in their bid to sign Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano, according to the Guardian. Barca cannot afford to pay the asking price asked by the Reds and will offer cash plus Caceres and Hleb. Uruguayan international Caceres was sent out on loan to Juventus last season after failing to break into the Barcelona first team following a €16.5million move from Villarreal. He is a very versatile player who can play anywhere across the back four and played at left back during Uruguay’s run to the World Cup semi-final. Alexander Hleb’s agent Oliver Mintzlaff meanwhile has also not ruled out a move to Merseyside.
