Meeting planned over transfer plans.

Roy Hodgson is set for a meeting with Liverpool's new owners this week to plan the new year transfer priorities.
Liverpool have dragged themselves away from the wrong end of the table with back to back wins in the Premier League, but Hodgson knows there is still a lot of rebuilding to do.

Principal owner, John W Henry of New England Sports Ventures, is expected at the club this week to meet up with the manager although Hodgson says he has plenty of contact with Henry.

Hodgson said: "We have contact with each other on an almost daily basis because he is very interested and committed and anxious to learn more about the club and what can be done and what needs to be done and how the club can move forward, which is music to all our ears.

"He will be holding a lot of meetings this week and he wants to spend some time with me on how I see the situation and things panning out in the future. It will be a good week in that respect and I suppose I am just delighted that we are doing it on the back of a victory rather than a defeat because that tends to drag everyone's mood down."
